EPA gasoline waiver ends on different dates in Texas, Arizona and California
EPA's September waiver eases federal enforcement of selected state gasoline rules, with separate expiry dates and conditions. It does not establish how much fuel has arrived or how pump prices changed.

The EPA's September gasoline waiver has different end dates for three states. Its September 8 note extends relief from federal enforcement of state fuel requirements through October 1 in Texas and October 7 in Arizona and California, effective September 18.
The measure supports an earlier switch to winter gasoline as Middle East disruption and reduced US refining capacity strain supplies. EPA links the regional extension to states whose summer volatility controls last beyond September 15. It is not a nationwide suspension of every fuel rule.
State enforcement remains a separate question: the letter leaves states discretion to retain their own requirements. EPA also says fuel covered by the waiver and documented before its deadline may continue to be distributed and sold until that identified volume is exhausted.
For fuel-market readers, the dates describe regulatory flexibility, not barrels already delivered or a measured fall in pump prices. Other unwaived requirements still apply.
