GTA VI's US editions share the same GTA+ month despite a $20 price gap
US PlayStation buyers pay more for Ultimate's upgrade package, while both editions list the same subscription month and preload. GTA+ needs a separate claim and renews into a paid plan.

The $20 gap between GTA VI's US PlayStation editions does not buy a longer GTA+ promotional period. Sony's product page lists Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99; both include one month of the subscription, the Vintage Vice City Pack and a seven-day preload.
Ultimate adds an upgrade package. The shared preload listing describes downloading ahead of release, not permission to start playing seven days early. These are the digital listings checked on September 27, not a comparison of retail box contents.
The GTA+ offer requires a separate claim after purchase. Sony says eligible digital orders must be placed before November 20, 2026, and the claim completed by March 31, 2027. Existing subscribers receive an added month; buying more copies does not multiply the once-per-account benefit.
The month then becomes a paid subscription unless cancelled before the next charge. Buyers should inspect the renewal date shown during the claim, rather than treat a preorder as a one-off payment.
